Just wanted to thank you all for the site. I've been reading LOTS of threads the past several months and really appreciate all the information.

I'm in the process of restoring (not to stock) a 72 240z that had been sitting in the rain for the last three years. All parts that can be removed have been removed and now I'm removing the inside rubber coating (lots and lots of fun!).

Again, thanks for all the insight.

Thanks for the hybridz site. I have spent some time there, lots of good information, but a little further out there than I want to go. Mine will still be pretty much a z. It had a blown engine (not the original) when I got it. Lucked into a 280z that someone had put a lot of $ into and could not get it smogged in CA. So, I am putting the 280z engine from it into the 240z.

HapG, welcome. Just wanted to let you know that there are a bunch of us Z drivers in your area. I live in Beaverton.

There are members of the Club I belong to in Salem also. Please feel welcome to come to one of our meetings. NorthWest Z is a great group of people. You are going to like the ''new engine''. I also did a complete re do on my 240Z and installed a 280ZX and am vary pleased with the results.

No injectors - 4 screw rounded carbs - from z-therapy when I can afford it. I will come to some of the meetings.

Beandip, did you keep the 240z suspension?

Thanks for all the encouragement. As I mentioned at the beginning, this has been a great site for getting information - not sure I would have tackled as much as I have without the collection of data here. FYI, I have read every thread here, starting with the oldest and working forward. Did not always like the answers (do I really have to remove all that black stuff on the pans?). But after actually doing what was suggested have found the information to be great.
