Posted September 20, 201014 yr comment_331345 Could someone tell me if they have the 280ZX snowflakes wheels installed on a 240Z? If so, what maximum size tires can/would fit? Because I want to use the 225/50/15.. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37158-snowflake-wheels-help/ Share on other sites
October 21, 201014 yr comment_333976 I have 81.5 ZX turbo snowflakes on my 77 280Z. Tire size I currently run is 195/65 hr. The snowflakes are 15 X 6 with a +12mm offset and 3.98 inch backspacing. Ride is nice, firm and responsive. Also running stock struts with Tokico performance springs. October 21, 201014 yr comment_333981 225's are awfully wide for a 6" wheel. I'd recommend either 205/60 or 205/55 instead. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37158-snowflake-wheels-help/#findComment-333981 Share on other sites
December 11, 201014 yr comment_338496 I run the snowflakes on my 77 280z. 185/65/15 front 255/60/15 rear. I needed to roll the rear fenders for clearence but that's about it. I use stock suspention, you can see how it looks on youtube under monster 280z. hope this helps. December 11, 201014 yr comment_338524 If A = B; and B = C; doesn't A = C?I too have them on my 280 and have had them on my 240. 205/60's work well. As posted, 225/60's are much to much for the wheel.I have the swastika wheels as well and would also assume A=B........... December 11, 201014 yr comment_338528 That may be but you're the first one to say that you've had them on a 240 which is what he asked. I had 2256014s on my 280 but that wouldn't lead me to conclude that they'd work on a 240. December 11, 201014 yr comment_338537 I am sure there is some logic there but it absolutely defies me...... Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37158-snowflake-wheels-help/#findComment-338537 Share on other sites
December 11, 201014 yr comment_338541 I'm just saying that the fact that they fit a 280Z doesn't necessarily meant that they will fit a 240. Besides, he didn't ask who has them on a 280. I'm done:) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37158-snowflake-wheels-help/#findComment-338541 Share on other sites
December 12, 201014 yr comment_338573 Point taken. I just happen to have a 73 240 that my son and i are bringing back to life soon, and yes they fit. At least the fronts do the rears will need the same fender rolling as my 280z. The two cars look to be very close dimentionaly. The bigest diference i can tell are the rear strut towers, but that dosn't look like it will be a problem.
