Posted September 24, 201014 yr comment_331673 Hi I am new to the forum I just purchased an 81 280zx n/a from my brother in law it has been sitting for a few years, oil and coolant have been changed, i put fresh gas in, the problem is it will not rev above 2000rpm when driving, I removed the throttle position sensor and cleaned the contacts between the tps and the cable as best I could (there was alot of green corrosion) looks ok now, but still having the same problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37192-280zx-problem/ Share on other sites
September 24, 201014 yr comment_331675 did you drain/siphon all the old out? You might want to check the condition of the tank itself, clear out any crud/rust, change the fuel filter and the fuel pressure regulator.Running a can of seafoam (or other quality fuel cleaning solution) through the system wouldn't hurt either.
