Posted September 29, 201014 yr comment_332112 Hey guys. In the near future (sometime in October) I'm planning on replacing my dilapidated suspension with new parts. I'm planning on replacing the spring as, well to be honest, if they are in the same condition that the struts are in I'm pretty sure they're not doing the job they were intended to do. Getting straight to the point. Is anyone aware of a place to get stock ride springs? MSA sells springs but they all lower the ride height. (which I'm not really looking to do).ThanksJan Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37240-stock-ride-springs/ Share on other sites
September 29, 201014 yr comment_332116 This might sound nutty but when I replaced my old springs with new ones from MSA I thought it was going to lower the car by one inch, WRONG it actually raised it up an inch.I did not consider 38 year old springs were already saggy. The real benefit was the stiffness, not so much lowering the car. Would you happen to have any measurements of the before vs. after ride height?Jan Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37240-stock-ride-springs/#findComment-332119 Share on other sites
September 30, 201014 yr comment_332120 I do not,but what I did notice was these cars seem to handle well when the control arms are more or less parallel to the ground with a slight amount of negative camber.
