Posted October 9, 201014 yr comment_332947 Day off work today, so I went out and took a few pics of the Z. Still need to finish installing the under-hood AC components and the 5-speed, but she's almost done. Hope you like the pics! October 9, 201014 yr comment_332957 Looks great Julio, and I bet with the Rebello engine, it drives even better than it looks! Nice to finally see some pics of it now that you are done (or at least 95%) . -Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37337-a-few-recent-pics-of-my-baby/#findComment-332957 Share on other sites

October 9, 201014 yr Author comment_332962 Cause some guys prefer a posterior view, some guys like a profile, and some like to see whats under-the-hood... Thanks guys for expressing your appreciation. As always, the pictures hide all the warts I see, but I'm pleased with how she came out. The paint job really glows in the sun. Looks great Julio, and I bet with the Rebello engine, it drives even better than it looks! Yes, the Rebello engine does provide spirited performance, but forget listening to the radio when at speed. Quite alright by me. Prior to leaving on our unsanctioned rally to Danville, I let a guy who tracks his 300+ HP Evo & Miatas drive the car. He later decribed the car to another guy there as "responsive, light and eager". October 9, 201014 yr comment_332982 Outstanding. I'm really diggin' those seat covers. Are they custom? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37337-a-few-recent-pics-of-my-baby/#findComment-332982 Share on other sites
October 9, 201014 yr Author comment_332988 Where did you get that underhood black sound deadener! It's two coats of spray-on sound deadener with a final coat of satin black paint. The first coat of sound deadener was done (poorly) by the previous owner. I added the second coat to improve the appearence.Outstanding. I'm really diggin' those seat covers. Are they custom? The seat covers are from MSA, the center panels replaced with a black & grey tweed uhpolstry fabric. They are identical to what I did on my previous 240Z in the late 1980's. The cloth inserts make the seats more comfortable on hot days or longer drives. They cloth is almost a perfect match with the carpet. The carpet is indoor-outdoor from Home Depot.
