What do you guys think its worth?

Just curious if i got shafted on the price or not

I love the interior. Awesome.

What's it worth? Did you buy it as an investment, or to enjoy it? If you are like most of us, you bought it because you HAD to have it. In that regard it's worth whatever you paid for it.

But it runs great and I have alot of fun with it.

Hard to tell without seeing the underside and typical rust places. If you paid between 3K-5K you are probably fine. Under 3K, and you got a great deal (carbs are worth 1K alone). Over $5K - maybe you got taken. Just my thoughts. Nice car except for the whitewalls

I'll +1 Casey's comment. There's no doubt in my mind I over paid for my z, but an impulse buy is rarely a financially sound decision. Don't worry about it, enjoy the seat time

Regardless of what you paid, I believe you score yourself a nice ride, the interior alone is worth a lot, and your car's interior looks great! I'm a bit jealous actually, my 260's exterior is great; however the interior is shot! congrats though, hope you get to enjoy it for a long time!

Thanks guys, I ended up paying 3500 for it.

And as for the rust, i dont have any pictures of the underside or anything but there is very little rust even in the typical areas

3500 is a bloody bargain down here mate. You did well.

Ya im really glad about it, specially considering how easily it is to rust a car out up here with winter 8 months a year.

I think one of the lessons of life is to not regret the things you've done...just use them as learning experiences. Even if you did pay too much - and it looks like you didn't - so?...Don't let it get in the way of enjoying a really cool car.

First welcome and congrats on your car. I also have a 260 early build 8/73 and have many times wondered its value. The car has been in the family for 36 years and has been truley enjoyed by my father, myself and soon my son. The car was bought by my dad and he drove it for 32 years and 300,000 miles. He gave me the the car and I went to town with a complete rebuild and spent a total of over $26,000.00. So what I am getting at is the value is with the owner, its worth what its worth to you. Is my car worth $26,000.00 dollars probley not but I have that much and more in it and it was worth every penny. The joy of doing it, seeing my dads face when I showed it to him, the driving and the fun with other Z owners makes it to me worth it. Have fun enjoy the ride don't worry about cost if you can and enjoy this time in your life...................
