October 27, 201014 yr comment_334457 I know on my 76, there is a thing (not sure of the name) that helps the idle from falling when you are moving. I think it's called an anti stall device. It's the thing in the red circle. My RPM's stay around 2K until I stop. It also seems to keep the RPM's up for shifting. Also if you have a California car, the altutude switch could also cause what you describe. October 28, 201014 yr comment_334520 Sounds like the BCCD or BCDD?? it's a wire in unit under the throttle body. When it goes bad, the idle will drop all the time or as soon as you let off the gas. Z_Tyler_Z's 76 280Z has one and it was messing up for a while there.Dave Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37493-must-not-have-hooked-something-up-right/#findComment-334520 Share on other sites
