This is probably one of the cleanest photos I have taken of my turboZ. I shoot with the Canon 20D.

And then there is this one taken in total darkness and "painted" with a flashlight. This photo was created in one long exposure. The only post processing was to vignette the edges of the frame, and to selectively color the corner lights and turn signals. The "Z" was painted with the flashlight during the exposure.

Nice work.

I've been a pro photographer for about 30 years now. Youur Nikon D3000 is a great starter SLR camera. Face it, the “art” of photography is a combination of knowledge, skill, technology, talent and much more. As Lance Armstrong said, "It's not about the bike." Check out photo.net.

How about this:

Could you use those new tablet PCs for recording video or time-lapse still photos while driving? I don't know how you'd plug a webcam into the tablet PC. You might be able to use the tablet's camera or webcam. It ought to look kinda funny.

I held onto 35mm cameras until about a year ago, minolta srt, olympus, and canon rebel amongst others, until the expense of developing film and the generally poor quality of developers forced me to digital...

and this year for my birthday the wife surprised me with an olympus pen ep-1, the camera i've been lusting after...bought the optional digital viewfinder and am getting back into shooting...also bought a fisheye lens, an accessory i'v also always wanted...time to retake every picture of the Z...already started on the garage photos...

The ipad doesn't have any usb ports. Thats is weak point that may be addressed in the newest model. I just had a Canon 10d (bought on ebay for 100 bucks) converted to infrared. They replace an internal glass slide with a filter that filters out all but the IR spectrum. I have just started using it and the pictures it produces are really cool. Haven't taken any of any cars but will post some when I do.

The old Canon 20DA I believe, is an IR/hydrogen-alpha wavelength capable camera. It's a derivative of the 20D which I shoot with. The 20DA is intended for astro-photography and can be had for pretty cheap these days.

I'm a D50 owner myself. Motorsports and other action photography seem to peak my interest. My wife likes to take pictures of our sons so I got her a decent cell phone for those pics. She cannot seem to keep her thumb out of the way though!

This below is one of my favorites from my 240Z set. It was taken with a $10 wide angle adapter on a $10 lens. Not a great shot technically, but it just speaks to me.
