Hey you Pacific NW guys - the more I look at this, the more I think that car is Kurt George's old car. Everything in the description and picture is correct for that car. Kurt was trying to sell it a few years back for $11k, IIRC. I wonder what makes it worth 3 times that now.

If you're going to ask that kind of money, why on earth would you just limit your advertising to the local Craig's List?

Also listed on page 350 of the December 2010 Hemmings Motor News.

Now he wants to charge $20 to tell me why he thinks it's worth $35k? "I don't think so, Tim."

I'm convinced that this is the same car I saw at Canby in '06. I could have bought it back then for $11k, maybe $10k. This is nuts.

If someone really wanted a blue 73 they could buy this other one listed on Hemmings for $10K and pocket the extra $25K (or buy a couple more Z's of the same quality) http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/datsun/240z/1127675.html.

Somehow I don't think the "broker" will be selling many of his $20 photo packets, let alone the mystery car.

This is the car Tatem Oneal lost her verginity in, and they still haven't cleaned the interrior. Rosanne Barr got her cherry popped in my silver 73, I gave $750 and it needs carpet and springs!

If this was really worth $35K, for whatever reason, he would explain it in the ad, not pull the old salesman trick of enticing people..."Oohh, this one has something special...But I'm not telling."
