Can anyone point me in the direction of how to get my windshield wiper to run at a decent speed? Mine is dog slow. I'm sure there is a post around here somewhere. Thanks

Yes, there are many posts on here. Some are about Honda wiper motors. Others are about cleaning the linkages on the arm mechanism. I took the latter route and was very pleased with the results.

First step is to unload the motor and see if it turns a lot quicker.

Disconnect the arm on the motor shaft to see how it performs with no load.

If it is still sluggish then the brushes or motor bearings need attention,

If it speeds up appreciably then the linkage needs attention.

Threads deal with this, it can be a lengthy job but as already mentioned, you will be impressed once the job is done;)

If the wipers get a bit faster after they've been running for a while, suspect that the grease in the linkage pivots is old and stiff, and the cleaning and lubing will help.

I had problems with slow wiper blades until they stopped working. A new motor worked for a while but when I restored the car I found that the bushings under the wiper arms were binding from dirt. I cleaned them and the wipers are perfect. Easy to check and fix. I replaced the rubber boots on the wipers to prevent this in the future
