the problem with the CRZ is Honda isn't actually bringing sporty back, some companies made over-the-top versions for SEMA (that likely wouldn't pass smog for road use) and Honda has 2 turbo'd versions that they said themselves at the show aren't for production.

So Honda's version of 'bringing sporty back' is coming out with overpriced Mugen body and wheel kits to change nothing but the CRZ appearance.

When Honda's genius Bruce Smith was quoted as saying “It's clear that sports cars of the future will need to deliver respectable fuel economy and respectable performance,”

The problem is the CRZ delivers neither. And Honda has repeatedly said they have no plans to offer it with an engine their customers actually want.

You get the complexity and cost of a hybrid system with the fuel economy of a diesel and end up slower than a diesel VW Golf.
