Datsun Coin

Wow! being a collector myself, I am surprised that I didn't know about the coin's existance before. The Perth Mint is very reputable and the only thing that would make me not purchase their coins is the price. With an ounce of silver worth $29.30 right now, paying the $81usd that they wanted is a pretty high mark up, however considering that the coin sold for $115usd being sold second hand, it seems like a deal. Owning one would be pretty neat.

Anyone get one of these from Courtesy Parts? I bought this one off their website years ago. It came in a nice little display case with a certificate of authenticity from Liberty Mint saying it was .999 silver.

Last I looked silver is above $39 per ounce.

That coin is pretty cool, I would have bought one but I was too young back then. It's definitely worth saving... because it is not only Z related, but silver is a good investment. I got this cool 240z silver bar from ebay a few months ago though.

Nice one. You know what company made it? Yeah, silver is a good investment as long as you can get it somewhat close to the current "Spot" value.

I used to collect silver flake from x-ray film processing solution. My boss at a large veterinary clinic did not care. Instead of taking cash for it I would get .999 1 oz. silver bars. Silver was around $6 an ounce at the time.

This bar was made by the Franklin Mint back in the '70s as a part of "100 Set Centennial Car Ingot Collection", it weighs 1000 grains of .925 silver, so just a hair over 2 oz. Silver at $6? Now its close to $40 and even went up to $50 a month or so ago.

I will keep an eye out for one of those Courtesy Nissan coins now that I know they exist.
