ive got a 72 240z that i need to sell.its got some rust,mainly on the fender wells one small spot on the frame rail right infront of the drivers side motor mount,and when you open the passenger door you can see a little.but its got down draft webbers,cannon manifold,headers,k$n filters,its got sheet metal fender flairs(one of them is dinged)its got a spoiler(cracked)and whats left of a really cool air dam.interior is the best part of the car and the engine.its got american racing rims with bfg 235 60 14s.they fill out the fender flairs fully.its "competition"orange.sorry no pics...im in fort worth texas 817-625-8307...car will drive home its tagged till next year..i want 1200$

If it is for sale could you also explain the carbs to me. Are they dual carbs or triiple.

Do you still have the car? I would love to see some pix if you could take a few and either post them or email them to me. I wold also like to know about the carbs, are they dual or triple? How bad is the rust? When do the tags expire?

I caklled about this car several weeks ago. It is long gone.

Thanx SCCA_racer! Too bad that this guy is not kind enough to reply to anyone or update his post so that we all know what's going on. I have had this car in the back of my mind for weeks now but could not remember where I found 'that 240Z in North Texas for $1200' since I have looked at so many recently. And still have not found one!!

Notice that the lister only ever made one post to the list. His ad was it. He does not check the list or follow up. When I noticed that I went ahead and mentioned it. I was trolling the classifieds and saw it was still listed. Figured I would help folks out.

Please keep in mind what is acceptable is not the same as ideal and in this post I list out what I really need and also what would be an ideal situation. I have found some cars but it is very unfortunate that most of the good inexpensive ones are in Cali and I have checked on the shipping, from San Diago to Austin it would run over $600 which really eats into my bedget! I'd rather spend that money on the car instead of shipping.

I see that you too live in Austin. Are you shopping for a 240Z also or to you already have one and are just keeping your eyes open for parts?

From your nickname I take it that you are probably a member of a local car club like Spokes. I used to be a member of Spokes about 10 years ago and would like to get back into autox, this is part of the reason I am looking for a Z. The rest of it is that I just simply love these cars, always have but never owned one. Just something about the style, the look, basically the over all package that these offer.
