Posted November 13, 201014 yr comment_335912 Built in 9/70 all the Vin's seem to match 75k from what the PO tells me. Been sitting in a garage for 9 years with her and looks like the owner before restored a lot of the interior and did a crappy maco spray job on the outside. Only rust that I find is surface spots on the doors/hatch/and rocker panels. Battery tray and floors look great. here are some pics enjoy... November 13, 201014 yr comment_335914 WOW! An awsome Series 1 find. Congratulations! The interior looks to be in SUPERB condition and a very clean engine bay. If it stayed on the west coast a long time, you likely have no rust issues to be concerned over. This one is ready to enjoy!!!Jim Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37666-my-new-to-me-1971-240/#findComment-335914 Share on other sites
November 13, 201014 yr comment_335916 It looks to be a very nice car that has kept most of its original period appearance. I like the look of the rear bumper without the upright guards and also the ductless spook. It looks quite similar to what my Z will look like other than the color, wheels and absence of a rear spoiler. I like it, a lot. The paint is something you can eventually get around to improving, really doesn't look bad in the pics. November 15, 201014 yr Author comment_335995 what wheels do you suggest? I was thinking a nice mesh set maybe bbs rs with a big lip...15 or 16 inch so i can slim out the tires a bit but for now i am just enjoying it as is and fixing the little things that pop up... November 15, 201014 yr comment_336030 Neither a mesh style wheel nor BBS RS is a wire wheel. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37666-my-new-to-me-1971-240/#findComment-336030 Share on other sites
November 15, 201014 yr comment_336031 Congratulations on your new Z! It's a real beauty. I strongly recommend John Williams in Sugar Hill (770-806-2926) if you need any work done. He knows Z cars up, down and sideways.Enjoy the ride!
