is AM radio worth much?

I see them going for quite a bit on eBay and have one sitting in a box in mint condition with the booklet and all. The woman I bought the car from says it worked when she swapped it out for a CD player. f anyone needs it i would be glad to swap it for some other parts(inter bits and such,hatch Datsun emblem,dome light etc)

You might want to keep it. You or a future owner may want it at some point in the future. If it is in really nice condition it is worth more than an a emblem and a dome light, so hopefully you ask for more than that in trade or just sell it yourself and buy what you need.

yes of course i would want more i was just throwing out examples of stuff i am looking for. thank you for looking out for my best interest though...that is rare on a forum in my experience...

My response would be to deal with your first honest offer from one

of the members here that you now have .

No this isn't an attack , just a gut reaction . To the purist an original

radio in nice shape is worth whatever he wants to pay , and to others

a radio from the 70's isn't worth the effort to throw it away !

i think u misunderstand my reply there was no pulling back anything and i think the guy who offered the trade understands that i would want more than a map light and emblem which is why he told me to send a complete list of what I want to swap to his email...I think you are reading into what I said a bit too much and looking for something to call me out on...

Keep in mind that some of the parts you need for your restoration/rebuild will be scarcer in the future. Therefore, you may want to start assembling all the parts you need now, and let go of the parts you do not need, to ensure that you have what is need to complete your project.

You may find that a member on this forum can supply you with many of the parts you need in one lot, rather than having to deal with many parts suppliers and the associated freight on individual parts.

The members here are very knowledgeable, and from their experience will "callout" disingenuous postings, either from buyers or seller.

and that is what I was trying to do get some stuff I need...I stated in my first post I saw the prices on eBay IMO they were a bit too high...I wasn't looking to sell it or rip anyone off just trade for some stuff I am in need of... seems to me the "forum Police" got a little ahead of themselves and tried to make me look bad before understanding what was being said, especially since they guy who offered trade knew exactly what I was getting at...just defending my integrity:)

Or an AM-FM (1972 and following cars)?

You will find this on Classic Zcar Club site all the time that is why I post things hear first including parts I plan to sell.
