Marco69 Posted November 23, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 23, 2010 (edited) Hello,I'm really looking for that vintage raw/race look on my 280z and I want to go with steel wheels on 15x7 wearing 205-60-15 tires. I have not seen a stock set of these with the lug patern for the z - does anyone know of any wheels like this? Ideally, I would love to use a set late 60s Alfa Romeo 1750, but the lug pattern is different. Thanks,Marco Edited November 23, 2010 by Marco69
Arne Posted November 23, 2010 Share #2 Posted November 23, 2010 I can't think of anything remotely stock looking in 15x7. In fact, the only 15" steelies I can think of off the top of my head that might work would be stock Triumph TR6 wheels. Can't remember how wide those are, but no more than 6" at most. John Coffey Posted November 23, 2010 Share #3 Posted November 23, 2010 Diamond Racing Wheels makes them. They are not a stock looking steel wheel, more like a NASCAR steel "D" hole wheel.
Marco69 Posted November 23, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted November 23, 2010 Thank you, Arne - I thought about the 240SX steelies in 4x4.5", but the offset would be all wrong and they don't look good at all. Thanks, John! For some reason, I get the chills when I hear the word Nascar associated with anything I would drive. But that is just a phobia I have learned to deal with. I’ll have a look a their site and see if they have something interesting…I did do some additional research and found a site that would either make some of widen the stock 14†in a 15x7: http://www.stocktonwheel.com/wheel_widening.htm interesting site and prices are not bad…Cheers,Marco
ChrisZ Posted November 23, 2010 Share #5 Posted November 23, 2010 I believe that some older SAAB have the same pattern, but it's a FWD car.Chris

johnny haywire Posted February 28, 2012 Share #7 Posted February 28, 2012 Hey guys, I know this thread is pretty old, but did anyone ever come up with a cool set of steelies for the Z?Diamond Racing Wheels does have a set that will fit (I think):http://www.diamondracingwheels.com/stockcar.htmlBut I guess I'm yearning for something more along the lines of the Jag E-type race cars. Like the ones on this Lynx E-type replica:http://www.lynxmotors.co.uk/images/e-type/pic2.jpg
