Posted November 30, 201014 yr comment_337508 Hi guys, I recently purchased a louver, but it seems to not fit to my early 260z. There is like 1 inches gap between the hatch weatherstrip and the aluminum piece from the louver. I try to flip the aluminum piece around, no help, the gap is ever greater. Any suggestion???I compare to the recently louver topic: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=40475 most of the louver seems to be tight fit, but mine just have a big fat gap........<a href="http://s428.photobucket.com/albums/qq9/copugeek/?action=view¤t=IMG_2459.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq9/copugeek/IMG_2459.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><p></p><a href="http://s428.photobucket.com/albums/qq9/copugeek/?action=view¤t=IMG_2458.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq9/copugeek/IMG_2458.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><p></p><a href="http://s428.photobucket.com/albums/qq9/copugeek/?action=view¤t=IMG_2457.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq9/copugeek/IMG_2457.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><p></p><a href="http://s428.photobucket.com/albums/qq9/copugeek/?action=view¤t=IMG_2456.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq9/copugeek/IMG_2456.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><p></p><a href="http://s428.photobucket.com/albums/qq9/copugeek/?action=view¤t=IMG_2460.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq9/copugeek/IMG_2460.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>Ed Edited November 30, 201014 yr by TQs30z Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37831-question-about-louver-installation/ Share on other sites
November 30, 201014 yr comment_337511 Don't think that part is for a 260Z, is it a new part or a swap-meet-swindle....I, I, I mean special? December 1, 201014 yr comment_337532 Agree - not the shade for your 260Z. {nor a 240Z/280Z}. FWIW,Carl B. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37831-question-about-louver-installation/#findComment-337532 Share on other sites
December 1, 201014 yr comment_337534 I agree that it doesn't appear to be the right one for your car. Interesting that the width looks right. How does it look when you slide it to the top of the glass and leave a gap at the bottom?Dennis Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37831-question-about-louver-installation/#findComment-337534 Share on other sites
December 1, 201014 yr Author comment_337538 The seller said it was removed from 73 240z.......:stupid: The width fit alright, but the length just seem falls short. Is there any different between 240z with early 260z hatch? Thanks.Ed Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37831-question-about-louver-installation/#findComment-337538 Share on other sites

I may have been "removed" from a 73 240Z, but it is clearly not made for one. December 1, 201014 yr comment_337544 Might be made to fit the 2+2 as it has a shorter hatch and rear glass.... Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37831-question-about-louver-installation/#findComment-337544 Share on other sites

December 2, 201014 yr Author comment_337721 I just measure the louver, it is about 24.75" from top to bottom and the hatch is about 26.5". I guess the seller is lying or something............ Thanks for the reply.Ed Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/37831-question-about-louver-installation/#findComment-337721 Share on other sites
