Posted December 10, 201014 yr comment_338428 I've been gone a while and didn't converse with many of you while I was here before. Sorry to those I did talk to for dropping off the planet. So this is more of a "hi again" re-introduction. I have a 73 240Z and two 78 280Z 2+2's. Plan A is to turn the 73 into a "rest-moded" daily driver. Well, in the summer time at least. There's enough good parts between the three to do that (I think) and still part out the rest of the 78's. Plus I've been cruising every Z-car parts sight I can find, but I'm only sure of myself with the body and lighting. Of course, R&R of the mechanicals won't be so hard unless I find some goofy mod parts. For the engine/drivetrain, I'm either going to just drop one of the 280's in and call it good or see what kind of suggestions yall might have. I want to stay with the Nissan inline six motif under the hood, though. If anybody can tell me where a good place to go for wiring harnesses, I'd appreciate it. I also need some knowledge as to what kind of transmission upgrades are good for the "more fun than legal" daily driver. I also need some help with the suspension and brakes. I recently finished upgrading a 1/2ton Chevy to heavy 3/4ton (6bolt to 8bolt with bigger brakes and better diff) using parts off of a donor truck. I've done that to quite a few GM cars, but is this possible in the Z-car realm? Enough yacking, I guess. December 10, 201014 yr comment_338473 Ziggy,2.8 L series with the carb setup from the 240 should allow the use of the 240 harness, assuming it's not shot. Pretty much a bolt in bolt on deal. All the EFI stuff should generate some cash from guys who (because of availability of new) may be going in to horde mode.
