It is a very nice Z. Let's hope he gets his price.

Unkle Posted December 11, 2010 Share #4 Posted December 11, 2010 The seller can't get the asking price in this economy , or any other. To spend that kind of money on an average high production car is done everywhere - there's a guy I know that spent over $100,000 on a '67 Dodge 4 door . Totally stock , every nut + bolt. Why ? I dunno - you can't morally justify it , I don't care what kind of excuse you come up with . Value of money is different to everybody - the next guy needs $100,000 to pay for his sick kid's medical bills . Anyhoo good luck seller , nice car . Walter Moore Posted December 12, 2010 Share #5 Posted December 12, 2010 I love the color. But I don't have that kind of money to spend on a car.
Oiluj Posted December 12, 2010 Share #6 Posted December 12, 2010 Ah-mazing car, but $50K? Hope he gets it, but I think it's unlikely...
503Alex Posted December 12, 2010 Share #7 Posted December 12, 2010 Ah-mazing car, but $50K? Hope he gets it, but I think it's unlikely...This is a fantastic car, I followed the build for the last bit. BTW, that's the reserve he has asked $125k for it. Inf Posted December 12, 2010 Share #8 Posted December 12, 2010 (edited) ...that's the reserve he has asked $125k for it...Edit: Decided it's not really my place to call the asking price silly or not. If someone wants it, they will buy it, and I wish him the best of luck! Edited December 12, 2010 by Inf changed my mind.
Pomorza Posted December 12, 2010 Share #9 Posted December 12, 2010 As the old saying goes "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and that goes for cars more than anything. If someone wants that Z then they'll happily pay even the most ridiculous amount for it. Its a rather nice car though, if I had the cash and was lacking a Z I would more than likely make a bid on it. sblake01 Posted December 12, 2010 Share #10 Posted December 12, 2010 Jared is very optomistic. For $50k or $125k there are many other directions I would take besides a 'HybridZ' however nicely done.................
cozye Posted December 12, 2010 Share #11 Posted December 12, 2010 Personally, I liked the car better "before"
cbudvet Posted December 12, 2010 Share #12 Posted December 12, 2010 When I was starting to restore my car years ago, the body guy asked me, "Do you want A z car or THIS z car?" I will have spent more money on my car than it is worth but I wanted THIS z car. The only problem comes if and when people try to sell the car. It will be interesting to see how much it will go for. I agree with Jan, people will always spend more money than things are worth (me included ). carl
