Jared's Selling His Build

The seller can't get the asking price in this economy , or any other.

To spend that kind of money on an average high production car is done

everywhere - there's a guy I know that spent over $100,000 on a '67

Dodge 4 door . Totally stock , every nut + bolt. Why ? I dunno - you

can't morally justify it , I don't care what kind of excuse you come up

with . Value of money is different to everybody - the next guy needs

$100,000 to pay for his sick kid's medical bills .

Anyhoo good luck seller , nice car . :)

...that's the reserve he has asked $125k for it...

Edit: Decided it's not really my place to call the asking price silly or not. If someone wants it, they will buy it, and I wish him the best of luck!

As the old saying goes "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and that goes for cars more than anything. If someone wants that Z then they'll happily pay even the most ridiculous amount for it. Its a rather nice car though, if I had the cash and was lacking a Z I would more than likely make a bid on it.

When I was starting to restore my car years ago, the body guy asked me, "Do you want A z car or THIS z car?" I will have spent more money on my car than it is worth but I wanted THIS z car. The only problem comes if and when people try to sell the car. It will be interesting to see how much it will go for. I agree with Jan, people will always spend more money than things are worth (me included :) ).
