five&dime Posted December 15, 2010 Share #1 Posted December 15, 2010 (edited) I found this car when I was 17. I am now 31. My dad and I tried to buy it every year up until 2 years ago (when his collection was complete and I got my 510) but the old man who owned it didn't want to sell. Looks like he finally passed away and I don't have the funds and my dad's collection is complete. This car is in terrific shape!!! The interior is amazing. The gentleman never ever drove it in the rain. My dad and I can confirm that the odometer was replaced as the owner showed us details. The paint was also done as stated back in the late 70's/early 80's but I cannot recall why.All in all this is a perfect driver or an amazing candidate for restoration. The interior is like new.We have no affiliation with the current seller. I just found it in my weekly search and couldn't believe the man passed away. He was very nice and loved his Z since new.http://richmond.craigslist.org/ctd/2106433510.html Edited December 15, 2010 by five&dime

five&dime Posted December 17, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted December 17, 2010 You have no idea!!! The guy very rarely drove it and it was always in the garage. He took great care of everything. He had one of those old all in one tools in his garage and every component had a nice neat place for it. My kind of guy Unfortunately I don't often practice what I preach and my garage is often a mess .

River City Speed Posted December 17, 2010 Share #8 Posted December 17, 2010 I saw that the other day and remembered your dad telling me about it at the Z show a few months ago. It would definitely be the one to get. I'm actually surprised your dad hasn't snatched that up just on principal.
Diseazd Posted December 17, 2010 Share #9 Posted December 17, 2010 Jamie.....We tried to buy it forever....... I finally gave up and already have the Safari Gold 71 now. How much principle can someone have? By the way, I still need to get by to see your "stuff". Maybe after X mas. Happy Holidays!!! Guy
Diseazd Posted December 17, 2010 Share #10 Posted December 17, 2010 Is that color a repaint?Yes, from the 70's......but not to cover anything up. It's quite a well preserved original Z. Not much required to get it to 100%
