Datsun racing, vintage footage?

I notice a lack of vintage footage from the good ol' days, when Datsun was bringing Porsche to its knees. I hear a lot of stories of victories, have seen short clips, and have even seen some footage straight from Bob Sharp's own projector, but searching the internet for substantial TV footage, or first hand footage of Datsuns leading Porsches around the track, seems hard to come by.

I am asking for help to put together a thread, right here, with real racing footage from the 70's and maybe even the 80's featuring some Datsun action. I know there is a ton of footage out there in analog form. If you have some, and have the means, please convert it to digital. Youtube, Vimeo, there are plenty of places to host the footage for free. Let's get this stuff memorialized. I am certain that Porsche didn't confiscate the evidence of their losses!

I am not looking for documentaries. I am looking for the actual raw footage used to make documentaries.

Good find. Here is a video I shot of a street autocross from the 80's with some shots of national champ Andy Craig in his Z. Also the kick butt 510 of Randy Welch is in there too. Not quite Paul Newman but they are some of my heroes.

In that 1971 Trans/Am film - they mention Lee Midgley driving an Alfa - Lee was the co-driver with Peter Brock in the 73 Baja 500. Competitors in one series and team members in another.

Roman Tucker now owns the Alfa that Lee drove in the 71 Trans/Am.

1975 Camel GT Race at Mid-Ohio Super 8 Movie

WOW just when you thought you saw all the video. I love that old footage.

This past June i made it to mid ohio. Got to see john run his sedan the sound

was unreal as the cars zoom by. Also got a hand sake from the man.

The vintage grand prix at mid ohio featuring datsun. We got track side show space and first out for parade lap out of maybe 700 other cars there.

Also meet good people from the ohio z clubs and had a great time.
