In Germany there is no forum for the Z

only a Nissan board

but very few owners of a Datsun Fairlady

so I've logged on here to some interesting

to get information to me when I can perhaps help purchase

I hope this year I find a Z

in Germany there is not much choice ...

many are heavily rusted or slaughtered

That's a nice looking 260Z 2+2. For the U.S., they only made the 260Z for one year which was 1974 and it was also the first year they introduced the 2+2 (4 seat) configuration. I like the thin bumpers and the rear tail lights of the european cars.

I did not know that the rear lights are different from you ...

In the U.S. the rear tail lights are solid red where the european tail lights are red and amber (yellow).

They can be an expensive upgrade. The 240z ones are around 1160 euros.

Note: the 260Z/280Z taillights have the reverse lights separate from the rest of the lights. If you want to put in the 240Z taillights, there is also some fabrication.

Remember to inspect carefully under the car for signs of rust. If you go to Zhome.com, you can find good advice on inspecting a car.

The car you linked does look nice in the pictures, though.

In your research, you could also go the French Z club. There's a lot of Swiss & Belgium people as well that speak German.

Some members import "rust free" Z (= almost since a Z is very rarely free of rust) from the US. We've also got some parts supplies. People do speak English as well
