Don't forget passing an emmissions test - I do not know t in Calif how all that works but it could be an issue with a FI car - say with a '71 or '72 and you may be safe with carbs (you will need to find out) - discuss with your dad and get his opinion on that before you finalize - if a car does not pass your emissions test you may own it and can't put it on the road!

Thanks for al the great info. I am going with my dad this week to look at the Z in Danville.

-My dad went to Cupertino to look at a Scott's Performance restored Z. He was very disappointed with the quality of work. My dad said that Scott had sold the company to Ted and he was the "lead person" on this Z. It was sad what the poor lady paid and what she didn't get in craftsmanship.

-minimal rust, nice shape. needs some work but is pretty solid.

-So my dad and I are going to "Z bond" for a while.

-Goes to z-car garage on Monday for a "fine tooth combing".

-I am excited
