Posted December 3, 200222 yr comment_20177 Looking for at least 2 of these American Racing wheels. My buddy mangled these with a curb and replaced with new wheels of a different design as these are NLA. I can have the two good ones, so I would like to find 2 more....:classic: Any leads on where to find these are appreciated. They are 15x7, 4 on 4.5 bolt pattern. December 3, 200222 yr Author comment_20180 Yeah, I couldn't beleive it when he smacked that curb and destroyed them. Then we found out they were no longer available. I just about smacked him upside the head. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3823-wheels-wanted/#findComment-20180 Share on other sites
December 4, 200222 yr comment_20234 Before you throw them out check to see if they are repairable. One of the guys in my local club had some wheels that were bent worse than the one in the pic repaired and they look better than new. I think they place he used was called The olde wheel shop or something like that I know it was in MD. Check the back of some of the car mags and you might find some listings as well. Might just be cheaper than a whole new set. When I see him again next week, I'll ask about it and try and post back. December 4, 200222 yr comment_20239 Dave, is that the worst of the two rims in the picture. If it is the worst, I think you will be in luck for repair. I snapped out a 3inch section on the bead lock , and bent one similar to that after comming off(diesel spill on a corner) the process is a straight tig weld build up and then machine to restore the surface. It might not be cheap but it is worth it. The only hold up may be the alloy content of the wheel hopefully no magnesium. I was lucky with my Enkies as they were straight spun racing alloy and tig worked.Happy hunting good luckSteve:classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3823-wheels-wanted/#findComment-20239 Share on other sites
