Carl, that's exactly what I was saying....for 8k you either get a driver that you can show at all the stop lights and gas statoins, or a pocket full of parts with value. Either way it was a decent buy. Where else can you get ALL the Z parts from a 240Z with only 10k miles on them?

So Carl are you saying this was a good buy to get $8k in parts for $8k, plus shipping? Seems like a lot of work to buy a car, have it shipped to you, and part it out to only break even. It also seems contrary to what you said in your earlier post.

I'm not saying that the salvaged Z isn't worth something, nor that no one should buy it. I just don't see how anyone would expect a salvaged 240Z to sell in the $7K-$10K range in todays or tomorrows market, when so many other clean Z's are available in that price range.

Am I missing something here?
