I just wanted to say hi from(warm/sunny) Dallas. I posted a front valance and strut insulators for sale and sold them almost immediately! I have many great memories associated with Zcars. I have owned 43 total over the years. I currently own a '81.5 turbo 280zx(black and gold) w/ 60K original miles and a '71 240. Years ago I decided to get a '71 and rebuild it. I was born in 1971 and I wanted to be driving a 40y/o Z on my 40th birthday.

Hello.

Always good to hear from another owner of a 71.

But I hate it when people ask me if I bought my car new... I was only 10 when my car was made.

(And there were no Nissan dealerships in this town back then.)

I must look older than my age. I blame the kids for giving me gray hair in my beard.

Hi Smash and welcome to the neighborhood. Looks like I was buying my car the year you were born (purchased 03/31/71). Mine is also going thru a complete resto right now. Member Zed2 lives just up the road in Plano with an early '70 car. Maybe we can get togther sometime and compare experiences and cars.

My dad would agree w/ you about kids and gray hair!

I know that's when I started getting mine. We pass through Dallas a couple times a year going to visit family in Austin. The Z belongs to my son so until I get my own we'll be in my wifes CTS. Welcome !!

John,

My car is out for paint, expected back in about 3-4 weeks. How about a get-together with Keith at my place when I welcome it home? I'll PM you with my contact info. Looking forward to seeing your L28 transplant and I think you will like Keith's car. I promise I will not plan this as a work party for my ride. :D

Jim
