Posted January 20, 201114 yr comment_342809 Hi guys, I recently removed my su's and air filter housing and after taking apart I noticed a hose on the air filter housing that didn't connect anywhere. I am wondering if it is supposed to be connected or not and where it would be connected if it is supposed to. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. \ Thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/38319-air-filter-housing-hose/ Share on other sites
January 20, 201114 yr comment_342814 If I'm not mistaken, the hose in the picture would connect to the smog pump, if it is still on the engine...if the smog pump has been removed, simply remove that hose & cap off the nipple on the back of the air filter housing. Check your local auto parts stores, you should be able to find a cap that will fit. January 21, 201114 yr comment_342816 Definitely the hose to the smog pump. It's cut shorter that it was originally, so I'm betting the pump is long gone. It would have been mounted on the left side of the block, under the distributor.Where in Oregon do you live, Mitch? Have I seen your car around?
