Use a body hammer and it would be ready for plastic filler within an hours work.Good plan on the mig welder. Do yourself a favor and watch a bunch of youtube video's. Use gas shielding for sure. Practice on some 22 gauge sheet metal for an hour and you will be off and running. The frame rails are 16 gauge and much easier to weld. I did a bunch of research on small mig welders and came up with this one.
