Posted January 27, 201114 yr comment_343578 Hey guys my name is Kyle. I am from Southern Indiana. I currently own two z31s. I know it isn't a classic Z just yet, but I love those cars more then anything. I am currently building an engine for my 86' and hope to have it finished and in the Z by the beginning of summer. I joined here because I love 240zs. I have always wanted one, but couldn't find the right one for the right price. I am already part of 300zx forums and figured I might as well give this place a shot and see if I can find that right 240z. January 27, 201114 yr comment_343581 Welcome KiileZPost some pics of what you are working on. If you have any questions or concerns you will find plenty of help here. BTW don't expect to find a nice 240 that somene is willing to part with for a reasonable price. After the effort and expense it is more likely that your chances are better to find a restoration project at a reasonable buying price but by all means continue your search. January 27, 201114 yr Author comment_343584 Oh i know . I have been looking and a lot of the times the guy wants more then i want to spend. However, i am currently looking at a 72' 240z that was posted on my local CL. It was considered a "barn find." hopefully it will be what i am looking for. I'll post the ad here and let you guys look. He didn't post much info and from the pictures its gonna need some work. I can't really see any rust from the pictures either, but given It is a Z who knows if there is any hiding somewhere. January 27, 201114 yr comment_343591 That one's not exactly my cup 'o tea. Aftermarket T-tops = aftermarket water leaks and weakened structure. The "Ricer" spoiler and "roll cage" indicate the car may have seen a bit of abuse. Having said that, these issues can be rectified (if you choose to do so). All it'll take is $$. January 31, 201114 yr Author comment_343966 The car ended up being in worse condition then I wanted to deal with. However, it did have an L28 and a 5spd already swapped into it. It didn't run though. Half the engine was in the hatch. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/38387-hey-everyone/#findComment-343966 Share on other sites
January 31, 201114 yr comment_343980 Well, what ever you decide to do, Don't wait too long. These cars arent dropping in value, and won't any time soon. And that is one of the good things, they haven't really depreciated in years. So the longer you wait, the harder it'll be to find one at a good price.Good luck in your search. Save your money and get the right one for a little more. And ALWAYS plan on putting money into what appears to be a "Complete car" it's just a fact of life when it comes to Z's.Dave Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/38387-hey-everyone/#findComment-343980 Share on other sites

February 1, 201114 yr comment_344085 KIILEZ1K is not a bad asking price for the red on. Unless you find one that is running which probably will be at a lot higher price than you are willing to pay the price cannot be beat. If you are willing to restore a project you can't do much better. The lime green one should be seen up close first. The pics don't reveal much. Good Luck! February 1, 201114 yr comment_344088 Welcome to the site! Here is a 240Z fairly close to Evansville. http://louisville.craigslist.org/cto/2186467204.html , needs everything. If it's been in a garage for 25 years, how bad can the rust be? I bet it's worth a look.
