Posted February 4, 201114 yr comment_344490 Hello everybody, I'm back with with my 1976 280Z headache. Underneath the T.B is a vacuum valve(i think) that is called Engine Speed Control Valve. Hopefully I am right. That valve has two diaphragms inside. Well mine are almost gone which I think create a major vacuum leak. The question is where can I get those? Or at least the whole valve. Is there any rebuild kit available somewhere? Please I will appreciate any kind of help. Thank u very much. Also I will post my phone number, so anybody can call me with any ideas.Mike 323-384-7100 Los Angeles. February 4, 201114 yr comment_344492 It's NLA. It's called the BCDD (Boost controlled deceleration device)Operation is explained in FSM, EC page 5.If the diaphragm tears, it only leaks if the switch is open under deceleration more than likely. You can use some jb weld and plug the hole in the bottom of the throttle body to defeat it. The side affect is sometimes you have slight popping after fire in exhaust when decelerating. Most people leave it connected as long as it's operational, then plug it up when it goes bad.
