Members--First, the good news. Our annual Z event will be held on Saturday, April 16th at our location in Orange, Calif. Because of the delay in getting the date out, I wanted to provide you with an explanation. Traditionally, our show is the last weekend in April. However, as was the case in 2010, there was a scheduling conflict with another Datsun/Nissan event. We believe that the Z hobby benefits from not having too many events on the same day. In determining what was in the best interest of the Z community, we decided to move the date for our get together. Details will be posted soon (some interesting changes are in store!). In the meantime, please circle April 16th on your calendar. We hope you can join us!

"Schedule confilcts" of Datsun/Nissan events? In my mind, other than the JCCS, there are no other "Events" for Z's in SoCal.

Note: I consider an event to be a show with more than 100 cars.

You are correct, my bad...Roadster event in Solvang on April 30, 2011.

Should have been more clear on my earlier comment: for me, the MSA show is 800 pound gorilla. Whenever they have the show is when I show up. Every other event revolves around that.

April is a tough month. Targa California April 7-9th. Solvang at the end of the month and now this. I'm already on thin ice with the wife. How oh how will I work this in?

I stopped by MSA yesterday, and they're looking forward to the April 16th event. Easter is April 24th - the following week. The MSA event does fall on my birthday, however. If I attend, gifts are appreciated.

So Greg, It's another one day event? And it's at the shop not in the park? As much as I would like to come it's just not worth a 2 day drive to get there from Colorado. I was hoping for a return to the three day event culminating in the Sunday show in the park. If I lived in SoCal I would be there, but...I hope it turns out well for all.

I think there was also another Classic car event in CA that weekend last year. Not a bad idea to move the MSA show to a unique date. I know it's a lot of work, but, a 3-day event is the best... gives me a reason to be in the area for the entire weekend!
