Hey everyone my name is John. I'm a long time Z fanatic. I would dare as far to say my high school love was my 82 280zx. Shortly after buying it the oil rings seized up and it was time for the fun to begin. Ordered a motorsport cam, arizonazcar four barrel intake and edlebrock 500cfm carb, along with many other engine and suspension upgrades. Point is when I lost the car in an accident I felt like I lost a piece of me. A few years later I met up with a local man who had a 1970 240z for sale which I managed to purchase. The plan was a V8 conversion (which looking back on I would have regreted) The car sat while I collected the pieces to build the 327 that was going in it. Just as I got all the pieces together for the motor I lost my job and away went the car and the motor.

So here I am 5 years later chasing the unicorn I once had. Searching for a 240 or 280z to tinker and play with. Getting married in May and she wants kids soon after so I fear if I don't find it soon I'll never be reunited with the love I once had. Anyhow its been years but if I can help anyone with anything let me know and happy motoring.

Sounds like you have history. The unicorn is magical & can reappear when you least expect it... Never give up.

Hi John,I'm here in Mount Wolf area.My son and I are in the restoration process of his 1973 240z. Chances of finding a decent 240 in this area are slim,which you probably already know.I know where a 280z (I believe its a 280 it's tucked away behind a shed and hard to see)is sitting in the area.Not sure if owner is selling it but might be worth a shot.As far as help,we could use a body man on my son's car.It's going on our rotisseurie in the spring.Your welcome to stop by and see the mess if you need a 240z fix.Contact me here if you want details,good luck....Roger

And CONGRATULATIONS on pending matrimony. Don't give up the search for something and plan to go slowly on restoring or refurbishing it. 240Z parts are always an anniversay,birthday,Christmas gift, or a gift just because she loves YOU!. Good Luck.

I originally from the Lehigh Valley and no currently live in San Diego. My 73Z is from Springtown PA, so nice cars can be found in PA if you are willing to pay. The 71 in Reading sounds worth looking at.
