Posted February 7, 201114 yr comment_344904 I am doing a complete restoration on a 1971.5 Datsun 240Z I would like to replace the complete exhaust from the factory exhaust manifold back. I want the system to be as close to the factory system as I can get, using the same exhaust hangers that came from the factory. Any ideas were to get the system. February 7, 201114 yr comment_344910 You might try Black Dragon. They have one that appears to be stock. You may also be able to get a local muffler shop custom make one for you.carl Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/38499-looking-for-stock-exhaust-system/#findComment-344910 Share on other sites
February 7, 201114 yr comment_344916 I think you would be better off fabricating it or finding one out of a salvage yard. I'm not planning to put the original back on so I can help with pictures, and measurements if needed. I also not going to sell it in-case I want the original exhaust later. 1971.5 mean you have a 71 series II? It is easier for us if you just use the production date like mine's 4/71 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/38499-looking-for-stock-exhaust-system/#findComment-344916 Share on other sites
February 7, 201114 yr comment_344937 you might want to try Courtesy Parts in Texas.http://www.courtesyparts.com/I was able to purchase a complete NOS exhaust system from the manifold back. Albeit that was a couple of years ago.
