I am doing a complete restoration on a 1971.5 Datsun 240Z I would like to replace the complete exhaust from the factory exhaust manifold back. I want the system to be as close to the factory system as I can get, using the same exhaust hangers that came from the factory. Any ideas were to get the system.

You might try Black Dragon. They have one that appears to be stock. You may also be able to get a local muffler shop custom make one for you.

I think you would be better off fabricating it or finding one out of a salvage yard. I'm not planning to put the original back on so I can help with pictures, and measurements if needed. I also not going to sell it in-case I want the original exhaust later. 1971.5 mean you have a 71 series II? It is easier for us if you just use the production date like mine's 4/71

I was able to purchase a complete NOS exhaust system from the manifold back. Albeit that was a couple of years ago.

I believe the one on my 73 is a factory one. might be for sale when all the damn snow melts.
