Hey there. Could someone please give me an idea of which engine to put into my 240? I have a '78 L-28 and an 83 L-28 turbo engine. I'm not sure if either needs a rebuild yet but, I'm pretty sure I want to stay with carbs. From what I'm reading on other sites, the N-54(?) and P-90 head is the way to go. On others the P-79 block and E-88 head are the way to go. Both engines are dished pistons so they'll have to go but I was under the impression that the N-54 has siamesed cylinders so it's the best one to swap with. Please....anyone.....help me make up my mind! Thnx.

Mark, I just bought a '82zx engine , that is a flat top piston engine . It has t he head milled 30k and is running 9 to 1 comp. so it is a 54 block and has a 79 head and from what the "experts" tell me this is THE combo. for a nonturbo engine. We shall see! '81,'82 & '83 .
