February 13, 201114 yr comment_345830 I don't know how much you would get for it, but I bet more than $20 if someone is look for the kit, provided it is in good shape. I know I'd want it if I had those carbs.By the way that car looks like the last one I took parts from for my car. That looks like a slightly rusty east-coast car;) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/38581-is-what-i-found-worth-anything/?&page=2#findComment-345830 Share on other sites
February 14, 201114 yr Author comment_345891 It is hard to tell from the photos, but it looks like a 69-very early 71 Series1. It has the rear hatch vents and the steering wheel without holes. Did you happen to get the Vin and engine block numbers?Thats the thing, the interior looked like a late Z. il go check it out again today for fun. I did bring the steeringwheel home to restore. February 14, 201114 yr comment_345899 The rear quarters looked intact. That thing had to have been submerged for the rust to attack where it did. February 14, 201114 yr comment_345926 I'd want to keep the radiator cap and run a different car under it. Possibly the cigarette lighter as well if it isn't rust-frozen in the receptacle. Oh, and the Datsun logo off the glove box door. February 14, 201114 yr comment_345943 Measure the length of the metering needles and let us know. That will tell if those kits are for 46mm Z car carbs or 38mm Fairlady carbs. I'm assuming the carbs were missing.... It looked like the fuel line had the white thread inner reinforcement. If so send those sailing over the fence into the neighbor's back yard.....Does look like it has been around the world under water..... February 14, 201114 yr comment_345979 One thing is for sure. The kits are worth far more than the car. There has to be the odd fish skeleton in there somewhere. The part number is right there in the photo (16009-E4311) One should be able to look up that number for the Z and see if it's a match.
