May 7, 201113 yr comment_355056 I am refreshing my 260z and do not know what to do about my bumpers... I was thinking about pulling the bumpers in closer to the fenders a thereby eliminating the need for the fillers.... Any opinions???? Yes, that's done all the time in the hot rod world, even to the point of modifying the sheet metal to pull the bumpers into the body for a real sleek look.My '73 has deteriorated bumper fillers and I too question spending the $$$ to replace them. It would look a whole lot better to do what you suggest and pull the bumpers into the body. May 8, 201113 yr comment_355129 I like the look of the split bumpers like shown above. Has anyone ever seen them on the Z? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/38629-rear-bumper-ideas/?&page=4#findComment-355129 Share on other sites

May 10, 201113 yr comment_355295 I know no one likes the "park bench" but at 35 mph being rear ended by a Chevy Blazer, it saved my car from being a salvage.
