i've looked and can't find it. i've seen it somewhere. do i take the six marked bolts off the flywheel to get it off ? have to be ready to grab it, i do know that. thanks timsz

Yep, gotta take those bolts out. An air impact gun or ratchet is essential unless you have a really secure method of locking the flywheel in position. Cranking with a conventional ratchet will just turn the flywheel. I have done it both ways, and air is the way to go.

If you have no air tools, you can fab up a strap of some sort, that bolts one end to a clutch cover hole, and the other to the engine block. That will keep the crank from turning while you break the bolts free. You can also use it to hold it while you torque down the bolts when you replace it later.

The flywheel probably won't just fall off, in fact, you might even have to give it a gentle tap. It is always best to loosen one of the bolts, then put it back just finger tight snug while taking the others out just in case.

My solution was always to just wedge a big flat blade screwdriver with the handle on the framerail and the blade on one of the flywheel teeth. I didn't have any air tools at the time.

IdahoKidd is right too, it shouldn't just fall right off because there's a small ridge on the flywheel that fits over the back of the crank. Be ready though, just in case.
