Yeah, I've heard that the collector plate regs up there are pretty strict about period parts. If my understanding is correct, I don't think Konigs will qualify, as they are modern wheels that have only been in production for a few years. They are not a wheel that was in production back then and are still being made today, they are just a modern version of a retro style.

Living in Oregon, I'm not an expert in your laws, but my guess is that to qualify easily without argument, it would be easiest to simply buy a nice set of true period wheels for it. Of course, that will limit you to 14" (unless you can find a set of 15" aluminum American Racing Le Mans), and only a few common period styles - slots, basketweaves, turbines, Libres or clones, etc.

There are lots of period correct wheels around-here anyway. I have bought cars for the wheels before($200-$300), post some pictures of styles you like and see what is close!

You might ask what guide they use to verify the wheels are period correct to find out what is allowed.

Period correct for an aftermarket wheel?

This probably would have been the most ubiquitous '70's era style of aftermarket wheels:

I think if you were to stay period correct, the Ansen slots would be a good option and you can easily get 15" in this wheel with some good width. I think they are also really nice with the polished finish as well.

As an FYI, I decided against the collector status when I lived there as I wanted to do what I wanted with the car and insurance was still only $400 or so for the 6 months I drove it. $59 for storage for the remainder of the year. Going this way I added the MP3 player, lowered suspension, etc.

I'm sure you car will look awesome no matter which wheel you choose Dean.

Except there weren't any 5 Spoke wheels for the 4 bolt pattern of the Z hubs. So those are out...

"Documentation" - might include Ad.'s out of magazines published during that period. So start collecting some auto magazines from 1973, 1974 and 1974.
