Posted February 23, 201114 yr comment_347078 Hey All, I know this might be a long shot but with all the wealth of knowledge here I was wondering if someone here might recognise the type of springs these are. I got these from a previous owner a few years back as some parts that he had. As you can see in the pic they are blue and intended for a 240z but there are no other markings on them. I can measure them tonight. I forgot to do it the other day that I dragged them out. Any ideas or is it impossible to tell? February 24, 201114 yr comment_347086 I got some springs like that at a salvage yard and just figured they were from msa. The only markings on them were little paper tags that looked like they were made with an old typewriter that said front and rear. February 24, 201114 yr Author comment_347090 Yeah I was thinking they might be MSA ones too as I know they used to have something similar to Arizona Z car springs with stock ride height but higher rates. Do you still have them to measure? February 24, 201114 yr comment_347095 I would like to have some detail also. I have the same on mine. They seem to be shorter than stock spring when unload. But once load, I was wondering if it would lower the car since the spring rate could be higher.....Thanks to the person that could solve this mystery...:classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/38675-what-springs-are-these/#findComment-347095 Share on other sites
March 1, 201114 yr Author comment_347827 Hey All,Sorry it took me a little while to get to this. Here are the measurements I have:OD: 110mmID: 85mmHeights (rear?): 11.5 inches / 292mmHeights (front?): 11.0 inches / 280mmNumber of active springs: 8I hope I measured these correctly, but am in no means a spring measuring expert. I would really love to know the rates if anyone can identify these springs.
