I'm fine with entertainment in its place. And we do have places here for that. But the technical and Z-car discussion forums need to remain Z-car related. That said, we are a community here, and humor is a part of a community.

The short version is that this site exists for—and in support of—classic Z cars. The focus needs to remain on the cars.

YORGO's posts have been mostly entertainment and I've never found them to be offensive.

I think he would have a lot to contribute to the "Boobs" thread.

In his defense Yorgo always seemed to post in the proper sections of ZCAR and I would think he'd do the same here.

As I said, I'm fine with this as long as we all play well together. I am the only on-duty moderator these days, and if the moderation load gets too much for me to handle, I'll be forced to clamp down. I don't have time to baby-sit the site.

I will also admit that I didn't join this community for general entertainment. I came here for the Z content.

Indeed, I will go so far as to say that if I actually owned this site myself (as opposed to being the delegated admin), there probably wouldn't be a Funnybone forum, Boobs thread, or even Open General Discussion areas. I'm under the impression that there are plenty of other places on the Internet to find that stuff, but darned few for Z content. (BTW, if you can't view CZCC at school/work, blame the Boobs thread. Many commercial web content filters categorize CZCC as "General Porn" because of that thread.)

But Mike is more social and a lot less boring person than I am, and he included those things here, so here they are.

Nearing a dozen posts already . Maybe once a week '' Eastern European '' humour is enough for me , kinda like Mork's '' Ar, ar , humour ! '' response every 5 sentences. What is going on here ? I'm slightly distracted with ''new'' old comrades and their potential baggage . Anybody else need to shower ?

Addendum : I say nip it early , no need to let us see if the other side's ''grass'' is really greener or not.

Double addendum : Screw polls - it's just the thin edge of the wedge IMHO .

Right now, as a poll in the 'introduce yourself' section, it is kind of 'in your face'. Since it's supposed to be 'funny', I'm sure that once this ends up where it should be (!), it would be easier to deal with and/or ignore if one chooses to do so. It's really rather corny (IMO) but, for the most part, tolerable in semi-moderation. But if it's going to be throughout the regular daily threads, then it belongs on ZC.C and not here.
