I hope you guys get the lunatic fringe stream of conscience humor that YORG0 picks up.

It's why some threads go from Zcar to politics to sex and then food - not always in that order. It all comes back around to our love of the Zcar and other common interests that we discover.

So if ya'll are open to chicken jokes, silly Gov'mint in our lives and just about everthing else we encounter - then no need to ruffle any feathers - just go with the flow and see where it takes us.

I've only just now come accross this poll and I can't help but wonder what all the fuss is about??.

I've read through every post and find that I'm sitting on the fence and found it hard to decide how I should vote.

However, having said that, one of the basic beliefs true Aussies have is that EVERYONE is entitled to a "FAIR GO MATE".

Who the heck is YORGO anyway ?? Never heard of him until this thread.

He says that he'll abide by the rules. If he doesn't, then kick him out but let's not prejudge and give him a "FAIR GO MATE"

Y0RGO has come over from Z Car.com. What is amazing to me is even though his poll seems to indicate that most want him to stay there seems to be a bit of a 'hard sell' aimed at the ones that have voiced othewise. I personally, as I've stated don't care one way or another if he stays but I don't really find the 'humor' to be all that humorous. It's not that I don't 'get it' as one of his supporters said. What's not to get? I agree with you on the "FAIR GO MATE" but what I don't get is the campaign to win over those who don't. Here's the thread about the impending demise of ZC.C:

When only one or two immature whiiners get their way to have you banned from a site you've been on for almost as long as they have been alive - you tend to wear barbed wire underware.

Many of us are leaving Zcar.com becasue of the so called Political Correctness or just plain intolerance of other ideas - See 1966 China's Cultural Revolution.

YORG0 and other like me are just trying to find a comfortable spot to live out our old and wornout lives, impart some wisdom and have some fun.

The demise of "That Other Site" meant absolutely nothing to me as I don't recall ever being there. I was fortunate to find this site when I found my "PRECIOUS" at the back of a used car lot and have been here ever since.

From what the past members of Z CAR.com have said, it's understandable that they'd move here for all the reasons that THEY have said. It would appear that many of them have a lot of knowledge that they are willing to share.

Some have even suggested making a donation to Mike to help out.

Having said all that, I still haven't decided which way to vote so I guess I'll reserve judgement for the time being and see how things pan out.

If YORGO steps out of line I'll be one of the first to release the safety catch and take aim.

Well said, Doug. And to erzelda: you had more than 'one or two' over there and that's why I left ZC.C so long ago that I can't remember my screen name or password. And if you look around here, you'll notice how different the environment is. We don't do much in the way of politics and the 'whiiners' are the one's that don't seem to last long here.

As one of those who need to keep an eye on things, and do "stomp" on things, let me reiterate the bulk of the comments/suggestions/rules expressed so far.

While there aren't many specific rules to cite in written form, there are the general accepted morés of our slice of society.

Paraphrasing the basic tenets:

Don't bring politics into the discussion or forum. Whether you're an Aardvark or a Hyena is irrelevant here, don't post it and it won't be deleted. General comments regarding the world's situation in general are acceptable, blaming vague (or even specific) generalities on specific actions/individuals/political parties is considered politics.

No name calling, directed insults, or flaming ... period. Depending on the severity you may be banned immediately... or just get a warning infraction. Get several infractions in a given time period, you'll get a time-out, then banned if you repeatedly must be warned or receive infractions. The infractions need not occur from the same incident, if you behave in such a manner that it's obvious you won't conform... you'll be banned. There have been only a handful of individuals in the years I've been here who have had to be banned.

No linking to commercial sites without approval. This means your brother's business, the auto parts store near your house, the one you're schilling for, etc. Additionally, it MUST have some form of connection to the Z.

No illegal business at all. Illegal isn't just "against the laws" it's also against the basic tenets of a good society. While there are definitive lines in the sand on some items, others get fuzzy and in others the line wavers. Don't advocate stealing as acceptable even if done in "tiny" amounts. That one is kind of absolute. Dishonesty in all forms is basically frowned upon, but getting a super good price on a hard to find part is not, in EITHER direction. Violence against specific individuals is also a "No", but wishing car thieves, in general, could be pummeled into the dust is acceptable.

Which brings us to Sex. This one gets real fuzzy since this is an International Forum with members worldwide. What's acceptable in Holland isn't the norm in Spain, and generally in the alleys in parts of the US. The key here is to keep it in good taste. The "Boob's" thread is specifically for BREAST shots, and if it must be defined, Women's breasts. Detail below the waist is not allowed. If you can see pubic hair, or the area where it should be, the picture's going to get deleted. That means that a side shot where the model's leg hides the area is acceptable, but those painted ladies with paint all over their bodies, including the groin.... keep it above the waist.

The "Camel Toe" thread is for CLOTHED shots of that area. Again, if you can see it directly without clothing... it's gone.

Other flavors, persuasions, variations... generally not discussed and not alluded to. There are plenty of other sites out there to ease your tensions, it's not allowed here. Calling someone by a name relating to one of those other flavors is likely to get YOU banned. In essence everyone gets accepted at face value.... until you prove otherwise.

We all get multiple "mulligans" if you stay within the general boundaries of the site, if you veer contrary to the general demeanor... warnings, then infractions and lastly, banned.

Again, these aren't written down so much as generally accepted. If you find someone posting something that is offensive to you, PM Arne, Mike or myself and we'll see what needs to be done.
