Get a new electric fuel pump filter, then put another filter before the electric fuel pump.

The electric pump has a cartridge type filter, get a couple of those, because even with a filter before the electric pump there will be some dirt getting past it eventually.

While running that see how long it takes for the filter before the electric pump to get clogged up. While you are down there, check the condition of all the fuel hoses in the back. Take the inspection panel that is in the wheel well to check where the fuel leak is.

If dropping the tank is warranted, then make sure you have all the hoses ready to go in.
