Posted December 8, 200222 yr comment_20529 Hey, my SU's are not running that great anymore since I tried to mess with them because they were fouling sparkplugs really fast. I'm wondering how I can do an initial settings on them or something. I don't have any special tools for tuning dual carbs, and no local shops want to do it either, so I'm going to have to do it myself. What should I set everything at? December 8, 200222 yr comment_20541 lower your floats but make sure they are the same height for both carbs. Start your idle mix at 2 1/2 turns. Balance your air flow, the set the mixture for the highest idle. re-balance the carbs. No garantees at all that this will help. The only real way to set up SU's is to set your points, timing, plugs and valve clearences before you start. And have the correct tools to set them with. If your keeping your Z, Buy a Unisyn, timing light and feeler guages at the very least.
