Posted March 1, 201114 yr comment_347776 Hi everyone, my name's Colby, here's my "official" intro to Classic Zcar. I drive a '71 240Z (when the weather is good anyway), and my DD is an 02 Acura RSX-S. I picked up my 240 after spending a couple years in South Korea where a severely old car means manufactured from the mid-90s and where every car is black, white, or silver. I grew up tooling around in some of my buddies 510s and 240s, and always loved them. Having missed older (and brightly colored) cars so much in Korea, I searched for some time before finding a fitting car that was within my budget. I picked this car up in SoCal, and am really happy with it. Burnt orange was always my favorite color on Datsuns too. It's a 71, and it's very original. It's got an L28 block, and I've been replacing some of the old stuff like belts, hoses, and alternator (because they all broke) but otherwise is still in very original shape. Seats, belts, all interior vinyl is original and straight, no rips. Anyway thanks for having me and hope to see some of you around at meets or other events.<a href="http://s1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/colbydc5/H4H%20Highlights/Kururu%20240Z/?action=view¤t=DSC_0082.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/colbydc5/H4H%20Highlights/Kururu%20240Z/DSC_0082.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/colbydc5/H4H%20Highlights/Kururu%20240Z/?action=view¤t=DSC_0086e.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/colbydc5/H4H%20Highlights/Kururu%20240Z/DSC_0086e.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/colbydc5/H4H%20Highlights/Kururu%20240Z/?action=view¤t=DSC_0094.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/colbydc5/H4H%20Highlights/Kururu%20240Z/DSC_0094.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/colbydc5/H4H%20Highlights/Kururu%20240Z/?action=view¤t=DSC_0092.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/colbydc5/H4H%20Highlights/Kururu%20240Z/DSC_0092.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/colbydc5/H4H%20Highlights/Kururu%20240Z/?action=view¤t=DSC_0120.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/colbydc5/H4H%20Highlights/Kururu%20240Z/DSC_0120.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/colbydc5/H4H%20Highlights/Kururu%20240Z/?action=view¤t=DSC_0150.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/colbydc5/H4H%20Highlights/Kururu%20240Z/DSC_0150.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/colbydc5/H4H%20Highlights/Kururu%20240Z/?action=view¤t=DSC_0144.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/h428/colbydc5/H4H%20Highlights/Kururu%20240Z/DSC_0144.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/38740-intro-to-myself-and-my-71-240z/ Share on other sites

March 1, 201114 yr comment_347793 Yahooo! Yet another beautiful Series 1 in 920 Gold. Gotta love 'em - but then, I'm a bit biased. How about a VIN and build date? March 1, 201114 yr comment_347807 Nice Car! Of course I love the color. Where in California are you located? Was guessing maybe South County of San Diego by the pics, but may be Nor Cal.Best regards, Rich Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/38740-intro-to-myself-and-my-71-240z/#findComment-347807 Share on other sites

March 1, 201114 yr comment_347828 I like the color, but my favorite pic is the interior. The iconic Z dash, a worn steering wheel and shift knob, and the key in the ignition seems like an old friend saying, "Let's go for a ride!" Definitely has the "cool factor." Congrats.
