March 2, 201114 yr comment_347962 Congratulations, John! It's a great feeling to make some old machine spring to life. Don't let your wife goad you into selling your Z! It will eventually become a fine car again. January 29, 201213 yr comment_379131 For anyone who comes across this, here was my problem. No fuel coming to filter. I could blow compressed air through the line to the tank and here a few bubbles but not enough and I couldnt blow through it with my mouth. It was probably 97% clogged. Stuck a piece of baling wire into fitting on outside of tank and could get it about 2" from the bottom. I was just about ready to pull tank back down but as a last ditch effort...I pulled sending unit and moved pickup tube over just a little bit. Then I drained the gas and looked through the drain plug and was able to see the tube with all the crap in it. Ran a fish tape and carb cleaner through it and its now good to go.
