Posted March 2, 201114 yr comment_348022 Hey All,I searched around here and could not find this information. There are a lot of threads referencing thermostat but not the part numbers.I am looking for the Nissan Part number for the Thermostat Kit. I have checked both the CD and the online catalogue at http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsuns30/DatsunFairladyZIndex/tabid/1543/Default.aspxBut I cannot find the kit that comes with all the gaskets just the individual parts. I know courtesy Nissan sells the kit but I am ordering from NissanParts.cc as they have some other great deals on parts and do not want to pay for two sets of shipping. Anyone know the p/n for the kit? Also I know there are different temperature thermostats, how do you differentiate the two? March 3, 201114 yr comment_348033 That's a 180 degree thermostat. But I think that should read 21200-P7901. I don't know how to differentiate them by number I just know that is the number for a 180. 21200-F3160 is a 160 degree, 21200-P7901 is 180 degree, and 21200-P7906 is 190 degree. March 3, 201114 yr comment_348056 I think the numbers I gave are for just the thermostat w/o the gasket. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/38764-thermostat-kit-part-number/#findComment-348056 Share on other sites
March 3, 201114 yr comment_348085 When I changed my thermostat last summer I was surprised with the amount of corrosion on the bolts (one of them snapped - that's always fun). In the end I decided to replace the bolts and housing. I would strongly recommend that you use your favorite bolt-loosener liquid (I use ATF & acetone) before removing the bolt and never-seize on reassembly. March 3, 201114 yr Author comment_348100 Phew, I was worried I had got the part number wrong. Yeah I looked at just the thermostats and it is about the same price with the gaskets so I decided I should try and get the gasket. Thanks Gary, that is good advice. Ill probably replace anything that needs doing, I am replacing the thermostat for when I replace the radiator may as well do preventative maintenance before I take the car to the track again. March 3, 201114 yr comment_348101 I've always made my own gaskets for things like that. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/38764-thermostat-kit-part-number/#findComment-348101 Share on other sites
