i own a 71 240z and am looking to buy door hinges.

i found a set of series 1 hinges and the seller says they will fit my car, but mine come with the 2 stage detent hinges.

has anyone done this before or should i just look for the proper hinges?

They should fit fine, the only difference that I know of is the detent.

You might look at boneyards, and although used, they should be able to find you a good pair.
