Mike Posted December 15, 2002 Share #13 Posted December 15, 2002 Looks like you need to copy the URL's into a new browser window. That site doesn't allow direct linking from another site. Open a new browser window, and copy/paste the URL (address) into the new one.
Mr Camouflage Posted December 15, 2002 Share #14 Posted December 15, 2002 Is this the Nissan Real Car Simulater game? If so you will probably be needing this. Once you have installed the game if you want to change the keys you use to play it.... Run SMIRConfig.exe and click the middle button to configure your keys. which brings up this screen (in japanese), so heres a translation. You will probably want to click the top button (from the first menu) to go to the video setup and have a look at the video settings too.

Bambikiller240 Posted December 16, 2002 Share #16 Posted December 16, 2002 originally posted by peterpit: once the install.zip file is extracted, double-click the "VSP Install" icon and then the "info" button, and there are installation instructions included. very easy OK, I'm trying to install the game (for the 3rd time now  ), when I "double-click" the VSP Install icon, the INFO button gives these directions: [1] Use our installer or *sigh* UnRAR manually [2] Run UNPACK.BAT to unpack sounds/data [3] Run SETUPREG.EXE and then SIMR.EXE to play! When I double-click on the INSTALL button, nothing happens. Also, I don't see the UNPACK.BAT or SETUPREG.EXE files. Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong here?
ScaryFast Posted December 19, 2002 Share #17 Posted December 19, 2002 if you right click on the link and select "Save target as...." you should be able to download the files
Bambikiller240 Posted December 19, 2002 Share #18 Posted December 19, 2002 Nope. Can't do that. When I right click on the link(s) the "Save Target" part of the menu is not active. It cannot be selected. I've also tried to cut and paste the link into a browser window. Whatever it is that I';m downloading (444 kb worth, AIR) doesn't do anything after being UNZIPPED. I quit. I've definitely got better things to waste my time on than THIS screwed up deal!
Mike Posted December 19, 2002 Share #19 Posted December 19, 2002 Getting all of this to work even for me was a bit of a technical thought process. You must first save the files to your drive, find a package that supports RAR formats and will uncompress multiple files (winrar does this), and then put it all together to get the setup to work. Then, you must uncompress another folder manually to get the sounds. The game really isn't that good anyway. It has a few Skylines in it, but, the play isn't something to write home about. Thanks Mike! Glad I'm not missing much. My system has winzip, but I'm no techo-geek. I'd just been selecting "un-zip all files" from the menu that is presented. If that doesn't get me what I want... I don't need it!Thanks again, Carl
Mike Posted December 19, 2002 Share #22 Posted December 19, 2002 My theory? Never let a techno geek (or engineer) design software. 90% of the population would never know how to use it.

I follow directions real well, but am not knowledgable in regards to computers.
