Hi I am considering painting my car among other colours 918 Orange, I can't see a car in the UK to have a look at the finished colour, does anyone have any pics they could show me of one here? I have seen some but the wonderfull Californian sun on the car makes it hard to see the real shade,

Thanks,

Phil.

Personally 918 is my favorite color.

Mine is 918 originally and was repainted about 15 years ago.

Also, something you may be interested in is that in 2003 Nissan did a limited edition color run on the Xterra here in the states. The color was called Atomic Orange (color code A16 I believe) and I purchased a tube of touch up paint from the dealer and used it on a few spots on the Z... Identical color.

Thats more like it! I have seen some orange Z's but it's hard to know if they have been repainted the right colour, I thought my car was 502 Ivory which I also like but Arne sent me a link showing the colours a series one could have been and it showed it could only have been 904 white which comes across whiter than I thought, certainly on the pictures I've seen, I think I can get PPG colours made up so I will buy the orange and the white and spray each side of my spare car first!

Great pics and information though Guys, much appreciated!

That car looks good, thanks for your help, I'm torn between that and white, there doesn't seem to be many colour options for a series one, they can look so good in any colour, I saw this one advertised recently, worst way I'll have to buy another car and have one of each!

My favorite Series 1 colors are 918 orange, 919 yellow and 920 gold because those particular tints are not common these days. I'm less excited the colors that are still in general use on new cars, like 901 silver, 903 blue, 904 white, 905 red and 907 green.

But that's just me. Any of those colors are proper for an early car, and any were available with black interior in the USA. So that's eight different but proper colors to choose from, even if you prefer to stay with a factory color.

Hi Phil,

Here are a few pictures of my car just after I purchased it 40 years ago.

It should give you a good look at the original factory 918 orange. And, yes, those are the original Bridgestone superspeed-20 radial tires mounted on the dealer installed aluminum mag wheels.
